As I’m writing this post, it is 11:19 AM. We’ve been at the Warsaw airport for about 3 hours now. Let’s go back to Thursday. In the evening, at 6:30 PM, we played a match against Canada, which we unfortunately lost 2-3.
We were analyzing the match until late evening
Yesterday at 10:00 AM we had our morning light session, and at 2:30 PM we were already playing another game against the same opponent. We lost 1-3. I will try to post the statistical analyses of these matches soon, so you can get a quick overview of how it looked.
The match ended around 4:30 PM, followed by dinner at the training center, and then we set off on our journey from Kuortane to our hotel in Helsinki (about 350 km). We arrived at 8:30 PM, had dinner an hour later, and then had another ‘staff video session’. We went to bed around 2 AM.
Our team is flying to Poland in two groups. The first group, consisting of coaches and players, took off from Helsinki a few minutes after 6:00 AM, flew through Frankfurt, and they are probably landing in Katowice right about now. As for us, we took off at 8:20 AM and arrived in Warsaw around 9:00 AM (there’s a time difference—Finland is one hour ahead). At 1:40 PM we fly out to Katowice, and that will be the end of our journey for today.
Our plans for today still include a visit to Spodek Arena in Katowice, so the players can get familiar with the venue where we’ll be playing our upcoming matches. I don’t know about it just yet, but there will definitely be a video session tonight. A ‘staff’ one, for a change. Tonight on Twitter, I’ll let you know how many hours it lasted and when we finished.
Have a great day
Kamil
P.S. Oh, and one more thing… below are greetings from the second group flying to Poland.
